Horse Camp (Monday-Friday), Grades 5-8
Experience general camp activities for part of the day, and also spend two hours daily at horse camp. Learn how to mount, dismount, and groom. You’ll learn basic control of a horse at a walk and trot, in the arena and on the trail. Campers help feed, care for and clean up after the horses. An additional fee applies. (Sessions 2-7)
Killoqua strives to include all youth in camp programs. Campers ages 7-14 with mild to moderate developmental disabilities may be mainstreamed in day camp programs. Be sure to indicate the inclusion program on your registration form, and please contact us prior to registering to discuss your needs. We may be unable to accommodate campers with special needs if they are not registered through this program. All campers will be evaluated to determine that this program is appropriate for them and that they will benefit from participating. If we are unable to meet your needs, we are happy to provide referrals to other camps. Campers must be attending a public school and be able to perform self-help skills: feeding, dressing, toileting and grooming.
Grades 8 and up
